Trip Application Form:  TRIP APPLICATION SSC 2024-2025 revision (gold) 12-16-23-1.pdf

Trip Status:  Trip sales begin December 2, 2025

Enjoy the best that California has to offer with wine tastings, national parks and the rugged coastline of the Pacific Ocean. We will stay two nights in Monterey, a seaside city with a rich history and gorgeous scenery, where you will also have time to explore the town or visit the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium. Then we will travel along the famous 17-Mile Drive to Carmel and along the way you’ll see the Lone Cypress Tree, Seal Rock and prestigious Pebble Beach Golf Course.

Then we travel to California’s Central Valley to Modesto, our base for the next two nights. We’ll visit a family-owned olive oil producer for an olive oil tasting and lunch. Afterwards, we’ll meet a local farmer and visit an almond orchard.

We’ll visit Yosemite National Park with an expert guide to view its dramatic waterfalls and soaring granite peaks like El Capitan, Yosemite Falls and Half Dome.

Next, we travel into the heart of California’s wine country, stopping first in Napa Valley to tour a vineyard while learning about the wine-making process before enjoying a private tasting and a delicious lunch. The following day we’ll have a wine tasting and lunch in Sonoma. We will head over to explore the majestic beauty of Muir Woods National Monument, home to ancient coastal redwoods. Afterward, we head to the seaside town of Sausalito, where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch on your own and soak in the waterfront views. On our way back to Sonoma, we’ll stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for a quick hike across this iconic bridge.

The next day we visit a local winery for a guided tour and sample a selection of wines crafted in the region. You’ll have plenty of free time to explore Santa Rosa or Sonoma to explore boutique shops, visit a local museum or other wineries. The following day we’ll visit another Sonoma winery.

This nine-day trip includes air and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, 13 meals (8 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 3 dinners) and 3 wine tastings. Pricing is being finalized so the trip can go on sale at the December membership meeting.
