you are available? Maybe it's your day off, but your friends cannot go.
That's why we started the SSC MEETUP page, so you can post activities
that other members might enjoy too.

Hershey Park:
SSC's Board of Directors would like to say thank you to our volunteers who helped make this year the best fundraiser since we started this program six years ago. Many thanks to: Priscilla Glusko, Linda Ruddle, Susie Leonard, Geary Trout, Patti Whitley, Randy Whitley, Dyan Yingst and Lovena Nickle. Hersheypark is closed for the season until Saturday, April 5. However, shifts are still available at the Giant Center for ushering (e.g., Bears games, Disney on Ice, special events, etc.) and to work food and beverage shifts at several of the food stands around the Giant Center concourse. As a volunteer, you can earn 1 or 2 vouchers for admittance to Hersheypark (good for 18 months from issuance date) and SSC gets paid $8 for each hour you work. Half of the money that SSC earns is donated to a charitable organization. In 2024 we donated $200 to Special Olympics and $200 to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. To participate, please contact Lovena Nickle at lovnic53@comcast.net to sign up as a Hershey volunteer. You will need to provide an email address to enable Lovena to communicate with you about open shifts. Weekend Rides & Hikes
TAKE NOTE EVERYONE: When the weather warms, we have many combined bike rides and hikes with “The Email Riders”. This group of folks also overlaps with SSC members. If you are interested in seasonal bike rides and hikes please contact Mike Gavin to have your name added to his email list. His email address is emailriders1@comcast.net.
