  • May 02, 2026
  • 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Columbia Crossing River Trail Center, 41 Walnut St., Columbia, PA

Cycle on the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail. Ride along the 14 mile picturesque Susquehanna River. Enjoy the scenery and some notable points of interest – iron furnaces, an eagle’s nest, and white cliffs of Conoy, Shock’s Mill Railroad Bridge, and an abandoned canal bed. C’mon out and have some fun with SSC!

No need to RSVP - - Just “SHOW” up and be readyto “GO” by 10:00 AM.

We’ll be starting at the Columbia Crossing River Trail Center, 41 Walnut Street, Columbia at 10AM. This ride is appropriate for any level cyclist. The flat, mostly wooded trail follows the Susquehanna River and is paved for 14 miles between Columbia and Falmouth. Ride in either or both directions for as long or far as you want. There are a couple of “job johnnies” along the trail and at the Park. Mountain, road, or hybrid bicycles are appropriate.

Après’ Ride -- For anyone interested, we’ll plan to gather around 12:30 for lunch and some well-earned beverages at McCleary’s Public House (Irish Pub) at 130 W. Front Street in Marietta. Ride or drive there as it is adjacent to the trail.

NOTE: For further information or questions, please call or email Suzanne Laughman at 717-503-3523, or adventuregal57.sl@gmail.com. This ride is suitable for beginners and experienced riders. We will split the group as needed to accommodate all levels.
