January 26-February 2, 2020 TENTATIVE (Sunday to Sundaty)
It’s EPIC! Vail isn't just a ski area, it's a legend! Vail offers an unbelievable 5,289 acres of ski terrain. There are 3 different sections to this mountain: the front side, with a huge variety of runs for all ski levels; the legendary Back Bowl, with nearly 3,000 acres of open powder bowls stretching 6 miles wide; and Blue Sky Basin, with an abundance of naturally-gladed terrain. With the largest network of express quad chairlifts in the world, you are assured maximum time exploring the extensive slopes of this amazing resort, where you could spend a week and probably never ski the same run twice. The stats: base elevation 8,120 feet, peak 11,570 feet, average annual snow fall 346”, 33 lifts and 193 trails (28% easy, 32% intermediate and 40% advanced). Need a change of scenery? Use your interchangeable lift ticket at Beaver Creek, a short 15-minute shuttle ride. Beaver Creek boasts a 3,340-vertical drop, average annual snowfall 323”, 24 lifts, 1,832 skiable acres, and 150 trails (38% beginner, 30% intermediate, 24% advanced, and 8% double black). Non-skiers? So much to see and do! Explore the village with its European style architecture, shop 'til you drop, take the gondola to view the vistas, relax in the spas, go cross-country skiing, slide down the tube run, or tour the art galleries. It is a short walk or shuttle ride to the village. We will be staying at the popular Evergreen Lodge with a central location in Vail Town Center. The Eagle Bahn gondola is a short shuttle ride away. Details and pricing are still being finalized. Any questions, contact trip leader Gary Smith at 717-503-2332 or email@example.com.
