SSC CLUB AWARDS
The numerous activities and trips sponsored by the Susquehanna Ski Club require a great deal of time and organization to ensure their continued success.  Many of our club members devote countless hours to the planning and execution of these events and trips.   Therefore, our Awards Committee meets at the end of each membership year to  evaluate the efforts these dedicated members who have taken in leadership roles during the past year.  Credit is given to each of them using a point system and the points accumulate over the years.  Selected members who garner a certain number of points are recognized at the annual banquet through the presentation of our Silver Ski and Gold Ski Awards.  To date, we have presented 36 Gold Ski Awards and 84 Silver Ski Awards. The Susquehanna Ski Club salutes and thanks these devoted members who keep our organization the largest ski club in the East!

George Hannon (l) and Lou Searles (r), both previous SSC Lifetime Achievement Award winners, congratulate Loudon "Hap" Campbell at the 2007 Spring Banquet as he becames the fourth recipient of this prestigious award throughout the club's 43-year history.   The award is presented to an outstanding member who demonstrates commitment and dedication to SSC long after they receive the Gold Ski Award, along with special criteria such as age, years of membership, leadership abilities, integrity and character.  In May 2007 George Hannon was inducted into the Pennsylvania Ski & Winter Sports Museum during a special program at Ski Liberty for his outstanding contributions and dedication to the Ski Patrol and Susquehanna Ski Club throughout his lifetime.      

Paul Fleck (l), SSC Awards Committee Chairwoman, presented engraved plaques to Joanne Roth, Dyan Yingst and Mark LaManna at the Spring Banquet for their dedication, leadership roles and countless volunteer hours to the club.   Dyan received the Gold Ski Award, while Joanne and Mark received the Silver Ski Award.
